If Tom Daschle "one of the most honest people [Senator Durbin has] ever known or worked with in public life," that does not bode well for the condition of our Senate and House of Representatives. Here's why:
TOM DASCHLE IS AN OPEN ADVOCATE OF DEFRAUDING THE U.S. CITIZENRY BY SUGGESTING THAT THE WAY TO GET QUESTIONABLE LEGISLATION -- LEGISLATION TO WHICH THE GENERAL POPULOUS MAY OBJECT -- THROUGH CONGRESS IS TO "ACT FAST" (IN ORDER TO AVOID PUBLIC COMMENT AND DISSENT) AND "WRITE AS VAGUELY AS POSSIBLE" (IN ORDER TO OBSCURE FROM THE CITIZENS THE TRUE INTENT OF THE LEGISLATION).
NO WONDER THERE IS SO GREAT A DISTRUST OF CONGRESS IN THESE DAYS! AS A GROUP, THE ENTIRE CONGRESS OUGHT TO BE ASHAMED OF SUCH A POSITION AND INTENTION.
